‘Tap
Me’ was an art piece that was devised to investigate the concepts
of teamwork and in how any large number of people trying to complete a
simple sounding task, can fail. First I encouraged a group of people to
stand in a circle holding hands. A task in itself at first it seemed but
after a while the participants became more comfortable with each other
and began to concentrate more on the task rather then who’s hands
they were holding. Then in a ‘chain-reaction’ like motion,
the group would pass different movements around the circle from person
to person getting more and more confusing until the group fell about. |
