‘Sunny Me’ was worded as an ‘Experimental Sensorally Expressive Public Intervention’. The work itself existed as a stalled ran by myself at an art fair called ParkArt 09 in Bristol’s St Andrews Park. On the stall, were a large number of original retro sunglasses, and it was my job to encourage the people in the crowd to try them on. The aim of the piece was for the participants to experience their world through another set of eyes and if they really enjoyed looking stupid while distorting their realities then they were allowed to purchase the glasses that gave them the most satisfaction.
