I was very lucky get involved in a collaborative project set up by a photographer called Helen Goodin who wanted to express her ideas on the temporality of art within a gallery context, ‘the gallery always remains after the art is gone’. She therefore decided to photograph and document a number of artists working in the field of temporality in a space in a way that there would be some form of poetic residue left by the artists that layer up over time.
My piece for the collaboration was called Spin Me is a simple experiment where I spin around for an hour in an attempt to question and distort my perceptions on reality through disorientation. In doing so, I also tried to encourage others to join in with me in this very primitive and child-like dance.
