Shhh-outside was one of my final pieces for my degree show which was displayed in Farnham Library Gardens. This work is in continuation of my exploration into human behavioural systems and constructed realities, which offered the public the chance to experience the site in a different way, by simply buying and using a pair of earplugs. This use of sensory depravation will have hopefully gone on to incur a change in the social and behavioural systems in placed within the Library Gardens by getting the public to speck loudly instead of softly. In creating this piece I was also starting to consider how I can challenge the concepts of the artist being the producer or the maker and machines.
