During the opening semester of first year was when I first became fascinated by the performance arts including the action paintings from artists such as Pollock and a Japaness group of artists called ‘Gutia’. It was always at this junction where I became obsessed with the materiality of plaster and the use of my body as a tool with this material, by putting it upon canvas in attempts to question the ideas surface and restriction of movement.
