Like Draw Me, Mirror Me was a performance that questions ‘self’, but the actions weren’t carried out by me but by the people visiting the private view of the exhibition, rather then by me. The two participants would start off stand facing each other, one being the leader and the other being the follower. The leader would simply make slow gestural movements and the follower would try to match them as best as possible while looking into the opposite persons eyes.
So far I have only done it with one couple mirroring at a time, but I really want to go on and have many doing the action, filling a space. This experiment is remarkably hard to do well and extremely odd to view as part of the outside audience.
